Perth again

We returned to Perth for another couple of days. So what to do???
This time we stayed in the city centre close to Kings Park.
We took a boat down the Swan River to Fremantle - a really pretty town at the mouth of the Swan River. We had fun in the Maritime Museum where they had an exhibition of swimwear through the ages. We saw Danil Craig's 007 trunks & Borat's mankini. The girls thought some of the outfits were particularly 'gross' - mostly those that left nothing to the imagination!!!
Fremantle is a very pretty town with a lot of old (by Aussie standards) buildings. We ate fish & chips on the harbour where we were terrorised by the seagulls!!
On our last day in Perth we went to the Bell Tower. A funky building which houses the Bells of St Martins. We were in the building when the bells were being run & the whole thing was swaying.
We also went to Perth Mint & learnt all about the West Australia gold rush. We watched them pour molten gold to make an ingot. Perth Mint was definitely worth a look. Finally we had a niced lunch in King's Park & then headed back to Adelaide for Christmas .......

  1. Good to hear from you. Perth is lovely, isn't it? You'll have done Christmas and New Year by now, so on your way home soon. So much to tell us all about. Have a good journey back and let me know if you need anything on your return, happy to help with anything you need. Celia xx
